The 2018 Lagoon 400 is a 40-foot catamaran with a 23.5-foot beam, built on a fiberglass hull. Powered by a single 30 hp Yammer diesel engine, it combines stability and shallow-draft capability with substantial interior volume—characteristics that have made this model popular for extended cruising and liveaboard use.
The layout includes six cabins and four heads, offering flexible accommodation options for families, charter use, or live-aboard arrangements. The wide beam and dual-hull design maximize usable space without sacrificing seakeeping qualities.
Recent work includes replacement of one saildrive and new antifouling applied in November 2024. A fresh GPS plotter was installed in October 2024. The boat has been fitted with new refrigeration and freezer units, added solar panels for off-grid power generation, and modernized LED navigation lighting. Twin diesel engines show 3,607 and 3,687 hours respectively. The boat is equipped with davits for dinghy handling, B&G instruments and plotter at the helm station, and electric toilets.
