2018 Lagoon 42

The 2018 Lagoon 42 is a fiberglass catamaran built for comfortable cruising and extended time at sea. At 42 feet in length with a 25-foot beam, she offers the stability and space characteristic of the Lagoon platform. Twin Yanmar diesel engines deliver 114 horsepower combined, with each motor showing approximately 5,150 engine hours. The boat reaches a maximum speed of 11 knots.

The four-cabin, four-head layout suits family cruising or charter use. Accommodations include a double berth in the salon with storage above on the starboard side, leather cabin organizers, and indirect lighting throughout. The galley features a stainless steel refrigerator and a 100-liter freezer. Air circulation is provided by fans in all cabins and the salon.

Power and water systems are well-equipped for extended passages. Solar panels—three 120-watt flexible units on the roof—feed a 2000VA inverter and support onboard systems. A watermaker produces 63 liters per hour, while additional water and fuel tanks (both 300 liters) extend range and independence. Battery capacity includes two service batteries of 140 amps each with a 40-amp charger and controller. Navigation equipment includes a B&G Zeus 12-inch display, AIS 400 transceiver, WiFi module, and dual VHF handsets. An MS Fusion audio system serves the salon and cockpit.

New sails were installed in 2025, comprising a square-top mainsail and lazy bag. The exterior features a composite bimini with windscreen, teak flooring in the aft cockpit and transoms, sun lounging cushions on the roof, and a dinghy hoist system with a 20-horsepower Honda-powered tender included. Fresh and seawater deck pumps, electric toilets, and full safety equipment round out the specification.
