This 2018 Leopard 40 is a fiberglass catamaran built by Robertson & Caine in South Africa, designed by Naval Architects Simonis-Voogd. She measures 39.34 feet in length with a 22.05-foot beam and draws 1.25 meters. The hull features a textured fiberglass construction with balsa core, and the interior employs laminate finishes with solid wood trim. Power comes from two Yanmar 3YM30 diesel engines rated at 29 horsepower each, paired with a Saildrive system. A 6 kW Northern Lights generator provides additional power.
The layout includes four cabins and two heads, with accommodation for eight guests. An ash white interior finish and expanded windows and doors create an open feel throughout. The saloon and all cabins are fitted with electric fans. Fuel capacity is 360 liters and fresh water capacity is 780 liters.
The sailing rig consists of a roller-furling Genoa and a fully battened mainsail with two rows of reefs, equipped with a Lazyjack and Lazybag system and an electric winch. The steering is a destroyer-type wheel integrated with a Lewmar chain-and-wire system, including a bulkhead steering unit and brake. Navigation and electronics include a Raymarine Axiom 9 GPS/Plotter, Raymarine P70 autopilot, Raymarine echosounder, and Raymarine VHF with DSC/GMDSS, plus an additional VHF at the helm.
A Highfield CL310 center console RIB with a new Yamaha outboard is included. The boat is equipped with a 32,000 BTU air conditioning system and has new rigging as of 2025. A Starlink antenna was installed in 2025.
