The 2018 Ranger Tugs R-31 S is a 31-foot fiberglass trawler built for extended cruising while remaining trailerable. Powered by a single Volvo D4 diesel engine producing 300 horsepower, the boat achieves a cruising speed around 15 knots. The design balances open-air entertaining with practical seamanship: the foredeck includes a table that adjusts for underway operation or dockside use, while the cockpit features wraparound seating with foldaway gunwale seats that clear the space when not needed.

Below deck, the R-31 S accommodates two staterooms and two heads across a thoughtfully arranged interior. The forward cabin features an island berth with en suite head and shower, while a midship stateroom holds a double berth and day head.
