The 2019 Com-Pac Picnic Cat is a 14-foot fiberglass day sailor built for uncomplicated sailing and easy transport. Designed by Clark Mills, the boat features a broad hull form and gaff-rigged sail configuration that deliver stability and low center of effort. Her stainless steel centerboard retracts for shallow-water cruising and beaching, while the tabernacle mast setup enables single-handed rigging and launching.
The large self-bailing cockpit is the focal point for entertaining, with cushioned seating and ample room for friends and family. Storage throughout the boat accommodates gear and supplies. A transom swim ladder and anchor with rode are included, along with an engine mount for auxiliary power if desired.
The boat is rigged with the Mastendr™ Quick Rig System, a unique setup that keeps the mast, boom, and sail assembled on the mast stub while trailered. Once on the water, raising the mast and attaching the headstay readies the boat for sailing in approximately five minutes, without breaking down standing rigging. Aluminum spars support the sail plan.
A Magic Tilt trailer is included with the boat, making transport and storage straightforward. Hand-laid solid fiberglass construction and stainless steel fittings throughout ensure durability in this self-contained package.
