2019 Nautitech 40 Open

The Nautitech 40 Open is a 2019 catamaran designed by Marc Lombard, built around the concept of open-plan living where the saloon, cockpit, and deck flow together seamlessly on a single level. The 39-foot fiberglass hull combines a modern slimline shape with low displacement construction and closed-cell foam for durability and impact resistance. Two Volvo Penta diesel engines of 80 horsepower each power the boat, paired with upgraded two-blade folding propellers that deliver sailing performance typically found on much more specialized designs.

The accommodations span four spacious double cabins filled with natural light, plus two heads. The saloon is elegant and generously proportioned, flowing directly into a large cockpit ideal for entertaining. The galley is fully equipped for extended cruising. Dual helm stations provide optimal manoeuvrability whether under sail or power, suited equally to experienced skippers and newer sailors.

The hull structure emphasizes safety for offshore work: solid composite bilges, sacrificial keels, and strategically placed watertight bulkheads reinforce the closed-cell foam construction's inherent resilience. Electronics include chart plotters, AIS, and radar, complemented by a watermaker for long-range independence.
