2023 Fountaine Pajot Isla 40

The Isla 40 is a fiberglass catamaran built by Fountaine Pajot, measuring 39 feet in length with a 22-foot beam. She is powered by two Volvo 30HP D1 diesel engines, each with 955 hours recorded. The boat carries a 7.5kW generator rated at 110V 60Hz with 1,589 hours. Two Volvo engines provide the thrust for cruising, while the generator supports the full onboard electrical systems alongside a robust battery setup with independent 12V distribution, inverter capability for AC loads at anchor, and battery monitoring systems.

The interior is organized across four double cabins and two heads, each with separate electric freshwater showers. Air conditioning runs throughout the main saloon and each hull independently. The saloon features panoramic windows and opens seamlessly to the cockpit, where the galley connects directly. A full galley includes a propane cooktop, convection oven and microwave combination, separate refrigerator and freezer, and a pressurized hot and cold water system. Natural light floods the cabins through large hull windows, and generous storage is distributed throughout.

The helm station sits elevated for excellent visibility and houses full sailing instrumentation: GPS chartplotter, autopilot, VHF radio, and wind, depth, and speed sensors. Sail handling is straightforward with a fully battened mainsail, furling headsail, lazy bag and jacks, one electric winch, and all control lines led to the helm for single-handed operation. Additional onboard features include independent air conditioning, a watermaker, 7.5kW generator, swim platform with transom access, deck shower, full helm enclosure, cockpit sun shades, trampoline cover with cushions, and a Highfield dinghy with 15HP four-stroke outboard. Shore power connections and battery charging systems support extended anchoring, and a full equipment suite optimizes both passage-making and guest comfort.
