2020 Bali 4.8

The 2020 Bali 4.8 is a 48-foot fiberglass catamaran with a 26-foot beam, powered by twin 114-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines. She cruises at 7 knots with a maximum speed of 8 knots and completed a transatlantic crossing from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean in 2024. The hull and systems reflect recent upgrades and active use in moderate charter service.

The layout includes three cabins plus a skipper's cabin in the forepeak, with five heads distributed throughout. The open-plan saloon and cockpit create a continuous indoor-outdoor living space characteristic of the Bali design, well-suited for extended cruising or charter operations. Accommodations feature air conditioning in all cabins.

The electrical system underwent a professional upgrade in February 2025, with approximately 2,500 amp-hours of lithium house battery capacity, Victron inverters, high-output 380-ampere alternators, and 800 to 900 watts of solar panels. An Onan 11-kilowatt generator supports these systems and carries 2,600 running hours. The boat is equipped with an Aqua Prime watermaker producing 52 gallons per hour, supporting extended offshore passages. Raymarine navigation electronics include full package with AIS and radar. Engine hours stand at 2,200. An option exists to upgrade inverters for full overnight air conditioning capability.
