2020 Lagoon 42

The 2020 Lagoon 42 is a fiberglass catamaran built with Lagoon's redesigned ergonomics and deck layout. Twin Yanmar diesel engines of 90 hp each drive the boat, which measures 42 feet in length with a 25-foot beam. The design centers on a single-level flow from the aft platform through the saloon, accessed by a full-width glazed door that opens to expansive interior volumes. The deck layout features an aft-positioned mast paired with a self-tacking jib, consolidating sail operations in one area and simplifying handling under sail.

The helming station sits at the coach roof bulkhead, integrating the cockpit with the saloon and improving traffic flow forward and aft. A composite Bimini with a sliding panel provides shade and sightlines to the sails, with an optional closure panel for safety when underway. The transom incorporates suspended steps that create a wide, continuous platform at water level.

Accommodations include four cabins and four heads, providing substantial living space for extended cruising. The boat shows minimal wear from its first years of service, reflecting lighter usage during the early operational period.
