2020 Leopard 40

The 2020 Leopard 40 is a fiberglass catamaran designed by naval architects Simonis and Voogd in collaboration with Robertson & Caine. Her 40-foot length and 21-foot beam deliver the spacious platform the class is known for, powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines of 58 horsepower each. The design balances speed and seaworthiness with a thoughtful interior arrangement that sets this generation apart from earlier models.

The three-cabin layout offers flexible accommodation with two heads. The galley sits forward, opening onto a forward-facing settee with panoramic windows and direct access to the foredeck. Large sliding glass doors connect the saloon to the aft cockpit, creating a flowing living space that blends interior comfort with outdoor exposure. This design promotes easy sightlines and movement throughout the boat.

The catamaran hull form delivers the shallow draft and stability expected of the type, supporting confident cruising in varied conditions. Twin engines provide redundancy and manageable throttle authority for transit and positioning.
