2020 Ranger Tugs R-27

This 2020 Ranger Tug R-27 is a 27-foot fiberglass trawler powered by a single 300 horsepower Yamaha outboard engine, paired with a 9.9 hp Yamaha kicker motor for additional maneuverability and efficiency. Built around Ranger Tugs' proven design, she features a gray hull with white topsides, walk-around decks with safety rails, and a spacious helm offering excellent visibility. The boat reaches 40 knots at full throttle and cruises at 28 knots, burning approximately 15 gallons per hour at cruise speed. A Lewmar bow thruster adds confident handling in tight quarters.

Below deck, the cabin layout maximizes comfort and usable space. The forward stateroom holds a convertible vee-berth with storage underneath, a small desk, reading lights, and opening port lights. Amidships, a convertible dinette with hinged table serves as the main living area, while the helm seat converts to additional sleeping berth. The galley sits to port with a two-burner Force 10 stove and oven, stainless steel sink, microwave, and 12-volt refrigerator. A full head compartment with electric toilet, sink, and shower is accessed from the forward cabin.

The boat carries comprehensive electronics including a Garmin 8612xsv radar and GPS plotter, Garmin depth sounder, Standard Horizon VHF radio with DSC, and Garmin autopilot. Navigation aids include a Ritchie compass and multi-function engine monitor. Power comes from a 30-amp shore power system with three AGM house and starting batteries, a solar panel for trickle charging, and a Webasto diesel furnace for heating.
