The 2022 Aviara AV40 is a 42-foot express cruiser built around dual Ilmor 520-hp engines and joystick control, engineered to combine day-boating performance with overnight capability. The open cockpit emphasizes entertaining and social gathering, with wraparound lounge seating, hydraulic side terraces that expand the usable space, and a wet bar. The helm features Aviara's Monolith dash with integrated digital controls and a Klipsch audio system.

Factory upgrades enhance both capability and comfort: a Seakeeper 3 gyro stabilizer, 9.5kW generator, retractable sunroof, dual electric grills, a cockpit television, and a powered submersible swim platform. Interior finishes and styling are modern throughout.
