The Tiara 4200 Open is a 42-foot express cruiser built with hand-laid fiberglass, balsa core construction, and a gelcoat finish. Twin Cummins QSM11 diesel engines rated at 660 hp each deliver a cruising speed around 27 knots and a top speed of 35 knots.
The boat is designed for entertaining and extended cruising, with an upper cockpit wetbar featuring a sink, cutting board, refrigerator, and insulated cooler. A foredeck anchor windlass with foot pedal and helm remote controls ground tackle handling. The helm benefits from a custom composite windshield with tempered safety glass, power opening center section, and dual wipers. Four 10-inch spring line cleats and two 6-inch fender cleats secure the boat safely.
The electrical system includes dual 12V DC and 120V/240V AC power backed by a 50-amp battery charger and a two-bank gel cell battery setup. One head is fitted below. The boat handles well in varying sea conditions and carries enough capacity for fishing, cruising, or social outings with guests and supplies.
