The 2022 Neel 51 is a fiberglass trimaran designed for extended cruising and performance sailing. At 51 feet long with a 29-foot beam, the hull delivers the stability and spaciousness that define the Neel platform. Power comes from a single 110-horsepower Volvo Penta diesel engine.
The interior arranges four cabins and four heads across a layout that includes a deck-level owner's cabin. The galley features an induction stove with convection oven, dishwasher, and a 100-liter-per-hour water maker. Two washing machines and dual chilled-loop air conditioning and heating systems support extended voyaging. A Fusion stereo with B&W speakers and subwoofer rounds out the interior amenities.
The boat carries substantial offshore and cruising systems. Power storage includes a 1200-amp-hour 24-volt lithium ion house battery bank paired with a 15-kilowatt generator (400 hours) and 3600 watts of solar panels. Navigation and electronics feature a full Raymarine suite with 16-inch plotter, forward-looking sonar, and FLIR thermal imaging. Redundant autopilot systems and a bow thruster enhance passage-making. Water heating and propulsion are supported by dual systems for redundancy.
The rig includes a carbon-fiber mast, composite standing rigging, and Hydranet sails, complemented by a parasailor and two asymmetrical spinnakers for varied wind conditions. An extensive yard period was completed in Fall 2025. The boat was originally equipped with factory upgrades and has received additional custom modifications throughout its ownership.
