The Bestevaer 36 is a 2023 aluminum sailing yacht designed for shallow-water exploration and coastal cruising. Built by KM Yachtbuilders to plans by Dykstra Naval Architects, it features a shallow draft that allows it to navigate the Wadden Sea and moor in smaller marinas or dry out on shore. Power comes from an Oceanvolt Servoprop electric motor with a 15kW 48V system and reversible propeller for hydro regeneration, backed by a Li-ion battery bank and Fischer Panda 6000 range extender genset for extended range.
The yacht accommodates two cabins and one head, with a classic-style interior. Navigation and sail handling are supported by a Raymarine B&G instrument and autopilot package, electric winches, and a CODE 0 permanent hoist with Selden C25 hand furler. A Dickinson Alaska diesel heater provides heating throughout the boat.
The yacht has had one owner since launch and has been lightly used, with approximately 2,000 nautical miles logged. The owner has cruised the Wadden Sea twice for two-month periods, made one passage to La Rochelle, and completed various day trips.
