2023 Hallberg-Rassy 50

The Hallberg-Rassy 50 is a 53-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat built in 2023. Powered by a 110 hp Yanmar diesel engine with a 12 kW Fischer Panda generator, the yacht combines modern engineering with traditional craftsmanship. The hull features a 7.15-ton lead keel with bulb and rides on a Sleipner retractable bow thruster. The sails—mainsail and genua by Elvström Sobstad in Offshore quality Dacron—are managed through a Seldén electric furling mast with remote-controlled systems, electric genua and mainsail sheet winches, and a boom vang. A fixed three-blade Flexofold propeller serves as primary drive, with a spare mechanical propeller onboard.

The interior is appointed throughout in oak with three cabins and two heads. The forward cabin holds a centerline double berth, the aft cabin a centerline double with blackout screens, and port side features a seating area with two fixed armchairs adjacent to the galley. The galley on the port side includes a refrigerator, Miele induction cooktop, Isotherm freezer, hot water heater, and ample storage. A chart table sits to starboard. Teak decking extends across the cockpit and swim platform, which hinges manually and includes an integral shower. An electric toilet in each head and Webasto heating with two units support year-round use.

Electronics center on a full Raymarine suite: two Axiom-Pro 12 multifunction displays at the helm, a larger Axiom XL16 at the chart table, Quantum Q24D Doppler radar, i70 instrument displays, p70 autopilot with dual linear drives, and AIS Class-B transponder. Navigation, interior, and grill lighting are LED throughout. A 50-inch retractable television connects to a Blu-ray player and Fusion stereo. Lithium battery banks, 230V shore power connection, and an automatic watermaker support extended cruising. The yacht carries 100 meters of 12 mm anchor chain with a 35 kg Ultra anchor, electric windlass, and wireless remote. A hydraulic Besenzoni boarding ladder and hard top with night lighting complete the specification.
