The 2023 North Pacific 49 Euro is a modern trawler built on a proven semi-displacement hull designed for long-range coastal cruising. The 49-foot fiberglass yacht combines traditional trawler qualities with contemporary styling and boasts a single Cummins QSC 600-horsepower diesel engine paired with a ZF transmission. The hull employs hand-laid fiberglass construction with vinyl ester outer layers and closed-cell foam coring, finished in pure white gelcoat with a hard bottom paint. A Seakeeper SK9 gyro stabilizer enhances comfort at sea, while the boat cruises between 7 and 10 knots with a range of approximately 1,600 nautical miles at 7 knots.
The layout features a mid-ship master stateroom with full-beam width, large side windows, queen bed, and ensuite head with shower. A forward VIP stateroom has an island queen bed, dual hull windows, and separate guest head with shower. The raised pilothouse provides excellent visibility with a double helm seat and L-bench. The galley sits aft with a large sliding glass door opening to the salon, where an L-settee and recliner face a 50-inch television. A hardtop flybridge with second helm station, seating, and a hydraulic davit with RIB tender complete the upper deck.
Equipment is comprehensive and well-maintained. The electrical system includes a 16-kilowatt Northern Lights generator, 800-amp-hour AGM house battery bank, Magnum 2,800-watt inverter charger, and three 200-watt solar panels. A FCI MaxQ watermaker produces 72 gallons per hour. Dual Sleipner electric bow and stern thrusters with remote control, a Maxwell electric windlass, and a Nick Jackson hydraulic davit crane provide station-keeping and tender handling. The yacht carries a Highfield 360LS RIB tender with 25-horsepower Tohatsu engine and integrated Garmin display.
Recent service includes a 2,000-hour Cummins engine service, Northern Lights generator service, and new bottom paint. The Cummins dripless shaft seal was replaced, and a new propeller was installed. Fresh water system pumps were replaced, bow thruster batteries were renewed, and watermaker membranes are new. Navigation systems include dual Garmin GPSMap multifunction displays in the pilothouse and one on the flybridge, autopilot controls, Vesper AIS radio, radar, and backup camera systems. Starlink connectivity is installed. The yacht is fitted with a Viking 6-person life raft, recently recertified.
