2023 Outremer 52

The Outremer 52 is a composite catamaran built in 2023, measuring 51.6 feet with a beam of 25.9 feet. Powered by twin 100 hp Volvo diesel engines, she combines exceptional cruising performance with comfort. The design, created by VPLP naval architecture with Franck Darnet interiors, prioritizes livability at sea through a protected cockpit with pendulum steering system, generous saloon and cockpit volumes, and four spacious cabins including a flexible "my free space" with a bunk and extensive storage.

The boat is fully equipped for extended passagemaking. Her sail wardrobe includes a mainsail and jib in Hydranet, a Dacron staysail, Genoa, gennaker, and asymmetric spinnaker—all professionally serviced with new halyards. Performance-oriented construction features carbon bulkheads, a fixed carbon mast, and composite longitudinals. Systems supporting autonomous cruising include a Dessalator watermaker producing 100 liters per hour, 2,100 watts of solar panels, and 3,000 watts of lithium battery capacity. Comfort amenities encompass a refrigerator, freezer, and 3-kilogram washing machine.

This example completed a 21-month circumnavigation as a family cruiser and subsequently underwent a comprehensive refit managed by the builder. She now stands fully serviced and ready for further adventure. A Highfield 340 dinghy with a 20 hp Yamaha outboard is included.
