2023 Wellcraft 222 Fisherman

The 2023 Wellcraft 222 Fisherman is a 22-foot center console built on a fiberglass hull and powered by a single 200 hp Mercury gasoline engine with hydraulic steering and trim tabs. The design balances fishing functionality with everyday comfort, combining an open cockpit layout with practical helm and console spaces.

The boat features a generous stern cockpit with a 23-gallon baitwell fitted with light and timer, a 72-quart cooler under the leaning post, and a helm station with leaning post, backrest, and rod holders. Seating includes coaming bolsters with hand-fitted vinyl and comfort padding. Stainless steel hardware throughout—cleats, grab handles, assist handles, rail eyes, and a steering wheel—provides durability and corrosion resistance. The deck is finished in self-draining fiberglass liner with skid-resistant surface.

The single-cabin space includes a head with porta pottie, a changing room, rod storage with curtain access, and a console windscreen. Storage extends to an anchor locker with lid and latch forward. Electrical systems include a battery on/off switch, automatic bilge pump, 12-volt outlet, and USB charge ports. Navigation lights are LED, and the boat meets USCG, Canadian regulations, and NMMA certification standards using ABYC guidelines.

The hull is finished in Wellcraft White with the option to customize the powdercoat, console interior, and exterior color scheme. A telescoping and folding stern ladder, horn, raw water wash down, and courtesy lighting complete the standard equipment.
