The 2023 Wellcraft 222 Fisherman is a 22-foot center console built on a fiberglass hull, designed to balance fishing capability with everyday comfort. The boat runs on a single gasoline engine and features hydraulic steering, stainless steel hardware throughout, and comprehensive LED navigation lighting that meets USCG and NMMA standards.

The cockpit centers on a leaning post with backrest and rod holders, paired with a helm seat and stainless steel steering wheel. A 72-quart cooler nests under the leaning post, while a 23-gallon stern baitwell with light and timer sits ready for live bait. Beverage holders and assist handles in stainless steel are positioned around the cockpit, and the self-draining fiberglass deck incorporates skid-resistant finish and easy-clean deck lids. Coaming bolsters feature hand-fitted vinyl padding for comfort during long days on the water.

Below the console sits a head with porta potty, a changing room, and rod storage with privacy curtains. Additional features include an anchor locker, telescoping stern ladder, bow and stern eyes, pull-up cleats, recessed bow rails, and grab handles throughout. The helm includes a compass, custom gauges, USB charge ports, 12-volt outlets, automatic bilge pump, battery switches, and raw water wash down.
