2024 Bavaria C46

The Bavaria C46 is a 48-foot fiberglass cruising yacht built in 2024 by the German yard Bavaria Yachtbau. Designed by Maurizio Cossutti, the boat earned European Yacht of the Year 2024 in the Family Cruiser category. It features a modern hull with a broad stern, vertical stem, and chines, paired with an angular coachroof and distinctive window bands. The wide cockpit and large folding swim platform provide comfortable outdoor space, while twin helm stations with winch consoles enable straightforward deck handling. A self-tacking jib, retractable bow and stern thrusters, and electric winches make the boat manageable for small crews.

Below deck, the three-cabin layout includes a forward owner's cabin and accommodations for guests, with two heads serving the layout. The interior is finished in bright oak and was specified with the design package. The boat is equipped with in-mast furling, electric genoa furling, and four electric winches throughout. Navigation relies on B&G electronics with three chart plotters. A lithium service battery bank powers the systems, and a Yanmar 80-horsepower diesel engine provides auxiliary propulsion.

This example has seen minimal use, with just 39 engine hours and 360 nautical miles logged. It has been stored indoors during winter months and maintained throughout its ownership. The comprehensive specification also includes the optional bow and stern thrusters, making this a well-appointed and ready-to-cruise boat.
