2024 Cora 48

The Cora 48 is a 2024 fiberglass catamaran built for extended offshore cruising. At 48 feet in length with a 29-foot beam, she delivers the space and comfort of a significantly larger yacht while maintaining the efficiency and handling of a modern power catamaran. Twin 550 hp Steyr diesel engines deliver a cruising speed of 11 knots and a maximum speed of 18 knots, with a fuel capacity of 2,000 litres supporting a range of approximately 1,100 nautical miles. She is CE Category A certified for ocean-going capability.

The interior is configured for comfortable long-distance living. The saloon features an open-plan layout with 180-degree panoramic windows, lounge seating, dining area, and air conditioning throughout. The galley is fully equipped with a full-size refrigerator and freezer, ceramic cooktop, microwave and convection oven, and generous storage. Accommodation options include three or four cabin configurations, each with queen-size berths and ensuite bathrooms. The owner's cabin includes a sofa seating area and vanity desk. All heads feature electric marine toilets, separate enclosed showers, and hot water systems.

Exterior spaces are designed for both entertaining and practical seamanship. The expansive flybridge includes a helm station, dining table, bar cabinet with electric barbecue, hardtop roof, and custom full enclosures with Suntex shades. The cockpit offers a spacious dining area, swim platform with boarding ladder, and transom shower, also fitted with custom full enclosure. Wide side decks allow safe movement fore and aft, and the foredeck includes sun lounging areas. An anchor windlass, deck wash system, and mooring equipment complete the working deck.

Equipment is comprehensive for extended cruising. Navigation systems include a Garmin suite with GPS, radar, autopilot with remote, depth sounder, VHF and AIS, plus a 16-inch multifunction display and chain counter with remote. The electrical system comprises a 3000W inverter/charger, 800Ah AGM house batteries, 24V DC and 230V AC systems, and shore power connections. Engine rooms are large for ease of maintenance and include automatic fire suppression, heat and sound insulation, and six automatic bilge pumps. A Fusion integrated audio system serves the saloon, cockpit, and flybridge.
