2024 Ranger Tugs R-25

The 2024 Ranger Tugs R-25 is a 28-foot fiberglass trawler built around comfort, practical design, and ease of handling. The boat centers on one of its defining features: an extended swim platform with handrails that runs aft of the outboard motor, creating clear, safe access for boarding a dinghy, fishing, docking at low wharves, and tying up without risk to the engine. This open walkway also opens possibilities for water sports and accommodates pets easily.

The main salon is bright and airy, with a dinette that seats four and converts to a two-person bed. A spacious quarter berth with removable mattress serves as additional sleeping space or storage. The galley is fully equipped with an electric and alcohol stove, refrigerator and freezer combination, microwave, and hot and cold water at the sink. A private enclosed head with sink completes the accommodation spaces.

Forward sits a comfortable stateroom with a large bed, opening hatches for ventilation, reading lights, and a TV and DVD player. Power comes from a single 250-horsepower Yamaha outboard matched to the boat's planning hull. The design incorporates Ranger Tugs' patented Laminar Flow Interrupter technology for smooth, responsive handling. Navigation and performance monitoring are handled by a Garmin 1242xsv chartplotter with GPS, transducer, and sonar. The boat is trailerable and well-suited to cruising, fishing, and extended time away from the dock.
