The 2024 Ranger Tugs R-27 is a 27-foot fiberglass trawler powered by a 300 horsepower Yamaha four-stroke outboard engine with only 64 hours of operation. Finished in Midnight Blue, the boat combines responsive handling through hydraulic steering with the fuel efficiency and reliability the R-27 is built for.
The cabin layout provides comfortable overnight accommodations with a galley equipped with a propane stove, dual tanks, and dedicated locker. A single head with macerator system serves the interior. Teak and Holly EVA foam traction decking covers the deck, offering both classic aesthetics and practical grip. Underwater lights and downrigger plugs provide added flexibility for evening use and fishing.
Navigation and automation are well-appointed: a Garmin 8612xsv 12-inch chartplotter with sonar, xHD radar, and autopilot with remote control manage wayfinding and helm duties. Power management relies on a lithium LiFePO4 battery system with inverter, paired with a 220-watt bi-facial solar panel for extended off-grid operation. This setup powers reverse-cycle heating and air conditioning from the inverter. An anchor package includes a 16.5-pound anchor, 50 feet of high-test chain, and 200 feet of rode.
The boat carries several custom features built by the previous owner, including hand-crafted storage solutions and woodwork visible in photographs. At just 64 engine hours, the R-27 remains in excellent condition.
