The 2025 Ranger Tugs R-25 is a 28-foot fiberglass trawler built for comfortable cruising and versatile water use. Powered by a single 250 hp Yamaha outboard, it cruises at 27.81 knots and features a planing hull paired with the builder's patented Laminar Flow Interrupter technology for responsive handling. The boat's defining feature is an extended swim platform with integrated handrails that runs clear of engine rigging, creating safe access for boarding a dinghy, fishing, water sports, or tying alongside low docks—particularly useful for pets and crew safety.
The main salon is bright and open, with a dinette that seats four and converts into a bed for two, plus a spacious quarter berth with removable mattress for additional sleeping or storage. The galley is fully equipped with an electric and alcohol stove, refrigerator/freezer combination, microwave, and hot and cold water sink. A private, enclosed head with sink serves the accommodations.
The forward stateroom provides a large bed, opening hatches for natural ventilation, reading lights, and a television with DVD player. Navigation is handled by a Garmin 1242xsv chartplotter with GPS, transducer, and integrated sonar. The R-25 is designed to be easily trailerable while offering the comfort and functionality needed for extended time away from the dock.
