The MCP Global Exp 68 is a 68-foot aluminum sailing yacht built with 5083 alloy certified by Lloyd's Register. The hull construction combines aluminum with low-density composite structures, achieving significant weight savings and structural stiffness. Power comes from a single Yanmar diesel engine rated at 195 horsepower. The design incorporates a hydraulic swing keel that retracts to a minimum draft of 1.85 meters, with the mechanism doubling as a shock absorber during impacts.
The layout centers on a raised salon with an integrated pilot house, offering panoramic views and full command of navigation electronics, engine controls, and anchor winch from a single heated cabin space. The cockpit sits amidships and is protected by a rigid hardtop doghouse rather than canvas. Four cabins serve the accommodations: a spacious aft master with king bed, private office, high-ceiling closets, and ensuite bathroom; two midship guest cabins with double beds and private heads; and a forward cabin with double bed and storage. All cabins feature natural light and proper ventilation.
The engine room is fully enclosed with high headroom, accessed through a watertight aluminum door. Acoustic insulation rated to 600°C temperature maintains a quiet environment. A dedicated electronic technical area with controlled ventilation houses navigation systems, battery chargers, and monitoring equipment. A bow technical workspace provides storage and work area for maintenance. The boat includes four heads, one for each cabin.
