The 2025 Ranger RT178 is a 17-foot 8-inch aluminum runabout engineered for fishing. Built using the same processes as Ranger's larger models, the RT178 combines practical design with solid construction in a manageable size.

The boat's layout prioritizes angler comfort and storage. An eight-foot port rod locker, recessed trolling motor foot pedal, and three tackle-specific compartments keep gear organized. An oversized center storage box adds capacity, while dedicated storage runs under both decks. The ultra-wide deck and cockpit provide stability and room for multiple anglers. A fully featured console accommodates electronics up to 12 inches, gauges, and uses a cantilevered design to maximize comfort and usable space.

The hull construction emphasizes durability and ride quality. The .100-inch aluminum hull is filled with Ranger's signature sound-deadening foam flotation, engineered for a smooth, solid feel across speeds and water conditions.
