The Ranger RT178 is a 17-foot 8-inch aluminum runabout built for anglers who want fishing-focused design without compromise. It carries the same construction standards as Ranger's larger models but in a compact footprint. Power comes from a single 60-horsepower Mercury Marine engine.

The layout prioritizes function and accessibility. An 8-foot rod locker runs along the port side, while three dedicated tackle storage compartments and an oversized center storage box keep gear organized. A recessed trolling motor foot pedal is integrated into the deck, and both forward and aft decks feature tackle storage. The ultra-wide deck and cockpit provide stability and room for multiple anglers, with generous spacing throughout.

The hull is constructed with .100" aluminum and filled with sound-deadening foam flotation that delivers a solid ride across speeds and water conditions. Interior finishes include rugged all-weather marine-grade carpet and premium vinyl upholstery. The fully featured console accommodates electronics up to 12 inches and includes gauges beneath a cantilevered design that maximizes comfort and functional space.
