2026 Ranger RT178

The Ranger RT178 is a 17-foot 8-inch aluminum runabout built on the same construction methods as larger models in the line. Powered by a single 60 hp Mercury Marine engine, it combines practical fishing features with everyday usability in a compact footprint suited to garage storage and trailering.

The layout prioritizes function and space. An 8-foot port rod locker, recessed trolling motor foot pedal, and three dedicated tackle storage compartments serve anglers, while an oversized center storage box provides additional capacity. The console is fully appointed with space for electronics up to 12 inches, gauges, and a cantilevered design that maximizes comfort without sacrificing usable deck area.

The deck and cockpit are notably wide, offering stability across the boat and room for multiple people. The hull is built with .100" aluminum, filled with foam flotation for sound dampening and a solid feel throughout the speed range.
