2025 Ranger Tugs R-25

The 2025 Ranger Tugs R-25 is a 28-foot fiberglass trawler built for cruising and fishing. It's powered by a single Yamaha 250 hp gasoline engine paired with electric steering and Yamaha autopilot. Navigation and fish-finding are handled by a Garmin 8612xsv chartplotter with integrated xHD radar and sonar. The boat features lithium house batteries and a reverse cycle air-conditioning system for climate control.

The main salon is open and airy, with a dinette that seats four and converts into a bed for two. Forward lies a private stateroom with a full bed, opening hatches for ventilation, reading lights, and a TV/DVD player. A quarter berth with removable mattress provides additional sleeping space or storage. The galley includes an electric and alcohol stovetop, refrigerator/freezer combination, microwave, and sink with hot and cold water. A fully enclosed head offers a marine toilet, sink, and shower.

The R-25's defining feature is its Clear-Path swim platform, which extends around the outboard motor to create an unobstructed walkway. Heavy-duty handrails make it easy and safe to board a dinghy, fish, step to and from a low dock, or manage mooring without risk to the engine or occupants. This design is particularly useful for pet access and water sports. The boat is easily trailerable, making it well-suited to varied cruising grounds.
