2026 Caymas 28 HB
About This Yacht
The 2026 Caymas 28 HB is a 27.6-foot sportfish built on a patented Michael Peters stepped-vee ventilated tunnel hull. Powered by a single Mercury 425 hp V10, the boat combines high-performance capability with a dry, efficient ride. Construction is 100% composite—hand-laid fiberglass with a tri-core composite transom and high-performance resin barrier coat. The 9'4" beam provides substantial width, and the deep gunnels paired with high freeboard add safety and security.
The boat is engineered for serious fishing. Twin 35-gallon livewells with 800 gph pumps serve the starboard transom; a separate baitwell and large fish box with macerator pump round out the fish-handling systems. The massive nonskid casting deck features eight rod holders mounted to the console and four gunwale-mounted holders, plus twin lockable rod storage lockers. A 120-gallon fuel tank extends range, and a six-gauge trolling motor wiring harness is integrated.
Accommodations balance comfort with function. The bow and stern offer cushioned seating; the aft cockpit features a custom bench seat with folding backrest and removable storage bin. Two lighted cup holders and under-gunwale rod storage keep gear organized. The helm includes a custom fiberglass console with access door, recessed footrest, and storage box, plus a stainless Edson steering wheel with power knob and tilt function. SeaStar hydraulic steering and a Porta Potti round out the console area. Deck systems include a raw water washdown pump, dual bilge pumps with manual and automatic operation, and a central manifold drain system with shut-offs. Seven stainless through-bolted cleats, custom swim platforms with boarding ladder, and an anchor locker complete the setup. The boat carries a lifetime limited hull warranty and three-year component warranty.
