2026 Excess 11

The Excess 11 is a 37-foot fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising and designed to balance comfort with performance. Two Yammer diesel engines of 58 hp each deliver a cruising speed of 6 knots with a maximum speed of 7.7 knots. The broad 21.6-foot beam creates an unusually spacious interior for a cat of this size, with accommodation for four cabins and two heads, making it one of the largest cruising catamarans at this scale.

The layout prioritizes living space and ease of movement. The owner's cabin features a 2-by-2-meter bed, and the bathrooms include separate shower stalls rather than compact en-suites. The saloon and cabin volumes are generous, reflecting the wide hull form. Topside, an open cockpit provides plenty of room for crew, with twin helm stations offering comfortable steering and direct visibility across the boat.

The design draws on proven cruising catamaran principles while keeping weight and complexity manageable.
