The Nimbus Commuter 9 is a 31-foot cruiser built in fiberglass with a single Mercury 350 hp engine, delivering a cruising speed of 35 knots. Designed as a contemporary Scandinavian commuter with equal capability for day trips or overnight cruising, the boat balances performance with thoughtful layout and functionality.
The cockpit is the focal point, with abundant natural light from a large sliding glass roof hatch and a modern helm station. Four people can dine at the swiveling cockpit chairs, or five total can be accommodated; the passenger sofa converts into an extra berth for two children or one adult. Forward is a cabin with a double berth, separate head, and kitchenette. The foredeck includes a large loading hatch accessing the cabin, with an optional daybed that seats four people and can convert into an extended sunbed. Aft, a wide sofa with storage completes the living spaces. The helm position accommodates two people and can be equipped with a single 9-inch, 12-inch, or twin 12-inch chart plotters. An electronically opening canvas canopy is available as an alternative to the standard glass roof.
