2026 Ranger Tugs R-27

The Ranger Tugs R-27 is a 31-foot fiberglass trawler built for cruising, fishing, and coastal exploration. Powered by a 300 hp Yamaha outboard, it combines efficient performance with a fully trailerable design that keeps the 8'6" beam within practical limits for transport. The boat features electric trim tabs, a bow thruster for easy maneuvering, and Garmin navigation including an 8612xsv chartplotter with GPS, sonar, and radar—all controlled from a helm with electronic single-lever shift and autopilot capability.

The cabin is designed around natural light and open-concept living. A curved front windshield, overhead glass atrium, and aft glass bulkhead flood the interior with visibility, while four solar-reflective roof hatches and three opening portlights provide ventilation. The galley includes a propane stove and oven with broiler, plus a removable electric grill. A private forward stateroom with television and a dinette that converts to a berth offer flexible sleeping arrangements. A fully enclosed head with shower rounds out the accommodations.

The spacious cockpit features double bow lounge seating and a self-bailing design. Stainless steel fittings throughout—including sport racks, swim ladder, and rails—complement the EVA foam deck. The boat carries a 16.5 lb anchor with 50 feet of chain and 150 feet of line, a washdown system, and rod holders. Power comes from a lithium-ion battery system with 175-watt solar panel, 30-amp shore power inlet, and inverter. The construction includes a vinylester barrier coat and foam-filled fiberglass stringers, with the hull finished in Midnight Blue.
