The Shogun 43 is a composite sailing yacht built around performance and ease of handling for small crews. At just over 43 feet with a 12-foot beam, the design prioritizes doublehanded sailing through innovative deck layout and efficient sail systems. The yacht carries a single Volvo Penta diesel engine of 30 hp and accommodates three cabins with one head.

The deck layout centers on electric pit winches mounted on the cabin top, eliminating the need for large crews to manage sail changes. Jib tracks are positioned on the coachroof as standard, with options for additional conventional placement on the side deck or alternative configurations. The mast sits further aft than conventional designs, creating a large foretriangle that supports a 100% self-tacking jib and allows flexibility in headsail selection without compromising maneuverability.

The interior emphasizes balance between comfort and lightness, with careful attention to acoustic and sensory qualities.
