The 40M Sunreef Explorer ECO is a 131-foot composite catamaran designed for long-range, silent cruising. Powered by two engines producing 1,448 horsepower combined, she features an integrated solar power system with 50 kilowatts of photovoltaic capacity built into the hulls, superstructure, bimini roof, and full-beam bow terrace. The design combines aluminum and advanced composites, engineered to maximize solar surface area while delivering a self-sufficient platform for extended expeditions to remote locations.

The interior layout is flexible and light-filled, accommodating multiple lifestyle configurations. Options include a cinema, spa, library, or gym alongside guest accommodations featuring a master suite with private terrace and additional staterooms. The yacht has 17 heads throughout. Finishes employ recycled and recyclable materials and fabrics tailored to the owner's specifications.

Efficiency systems include a smart energy management platform, energy-saving air-conditioning, an ultra-efficient boiler with heat recovery, advanced watermakers, water-saving fixtures, and a rainwater collection system.
