The Helmsman Trawlers 38E Sedan is a fiberglass trawler powered by a single Cummins diesel engine producing 380 horsepower. At 38 feet in length with a 13.92-foot beam, the design combines the classic sedan trawler profile with contemporary updates to the traditional Europa-style layout.

The interior accommodates either one or two staterooms depending on configuration. With two staterooms, the owner's quarters are spacious and comfortable, while an optional guest cabin serves double duty as office space and is arranged for maximum usable room. The single-stateroom option provides an even larger owner's suite with separate head and shower compartments. The salon is bright, open, and well-ventilated, finished with a modern aesthetic that preserves nautical character. The galley and dining settee have been expanded compared to the earlier 37 Sedan model. The wide beam allows for generous interior volume while maintaining safe exterior walk-arounds on both sides.
