2027 McConaghy 2027 MC86 Open Flybridge
About This Yacht
The McConaghy MC86 is an 86-foot composite catamaran designed for both private cruising and charter operation. Built on an extended platform of the MC75 with a distinctive open flybridge, the boat combines a low-profile exterior with extensive glazing throughout. Dynamic glass panels with UV reflective treatment run the length of the hull sides, and a predominantly glass superstructure spans nearly the full beam width, flooding the interior with natural light and maintaining visual connection to the water.
The flybridge is accessed by staircase from the aft deck and features a dual helm position and expansive seating area with commanding views. The 38-foot beam provides generous interior volume distributed across both hulls. The main saloon is open plan, incorporating lounge seating, dining table, and galley with centre console breakfast bar. Accommodation can be configured to individual requirements; the standard arrangement suggests a master suite and VIP double in the starboard hull, guest twin and guest double in the port hull, and a forward bunk cabin for three crew members.
Multiple exterior spaces enhance life aboard. An aft deck lounge opens to the interior via full-height glass sliding doors, while a forward sun pad sits ahead of the superstructure. A hydraulic beach club platform at the transom deploys and recovers the tender and provides water access and a terrace-like platform large enough for a sun lounger. The extended aft overhang of the flybridge provides additional stowage for water toys. Specifications include a beam of 11.6 metres, approximate draft of 1.8 metres with boards down, and displacement of 55.7 tonnes. Standard power consists of twin 250-horsepower engines. Fuel capacity is 3,000 litres and fresh water 2,400 litres. The yacht is designed by Ker Yacht Design and built to Bureau Veritas standards.
