2027 Nordic Tug 40

The Nordic Tug 40 is a 40-foot fiberglass trawler built for comfortable cruising and capable performance. Powered by a single Volvo Penta or Cummins diesel engine of 380 horsepower, the boat cruises at 8 knots and reaches a top speed of 16 knots. Its 13-foot beam provides a solid platform for extended time at sea.

The redesigned interior centers on an open salon and galley with a new layout that includes a comfortable barrel chair and expanded galley workspace. Two cabins and one head accommodate a small crew. A molded staircase with integrated storage replaces the previous ladder, providing safer access to the boat deck. A double sliding door at the entry mirrors the design of the pilothouse doors, creating visual continuity throughout the main cabin.

Deck improvements enhance both functionality and access. The cockpit has been extended approximately 3 feet aft and fitted with a starboard side boarding door. The anchor locker is split to balance storage capacity, and the lazarette hatch has been enlarged for easier retrieval of equipment and supplies. The redesigned salon and galley windows offer improved sightlines while maintaining the vessel's classic tug aesthetic.
