2027 Viking 70 Convertible

The Viking 70 Convertible is a 70-foot fiberglass sportfishing convertible designed for bluewater operation and tournament fishing. Built on a refined hull platform developed through Viking's latest generation of convertibles—the 90, 82, and 74—the 70 combines efficiency with interior volume. The hull geometry, with selective adjustments to deadrise, chine placement, and strake design, delivers a smooth, dry ride. At 18 feet 10 inches of beam, the design is three inches narrower than the preceding 68 model, enhancing ride quality while maintaining spacious accommodations.

The yacht sleeps four in staterooms and four heads. The flybridge helm features flush-mounted electronics displays with three helm chairs and forward seating with optional freezer storage. The main salon includes a portside L-shaped settee with walnut table, a raised starboard dinette with rod storage beneath, and a galley configurable as peninsula or island layout. Forward is a dayhead accessible from the cockpit. Below, accommodation is arranged around a large master stateroom, forward VIP berth, additional guest quarters, and a crew stateroom with private engineroom access. The interior joinery, crafted in Viking's in-house woodworking facility, features horizontal-grain walnut throughout.

Twin propulsion options are offered: MAN V12X 2200 (2200 MHP) or MTU 12V2000 M96Z (2222 MHP) engines. The Advanced Propulsion System includes flow-aligned rudders, struts with propeller pockets, and electronic power steering. The engineroom incorporates a Spot Zero Double Pass watermaker, ElectroSea raw-water treatment, ventilation, and fire suppression systems, all painted white for visibility and designed for straightforward maintenance. The yacht is engineered to accept a Palm Beach Towers tuna tower, outriggers, and omni sonar integration. An open bridge model with tuna tower, plus enclosed bridge and sky bridge configurations, are available.
