This 1976 Formosa 51 is a full-keeled, heavy-displacement ketch designed by William Garden and built by Formosa Boat Building Co. in Taiwan. With a length of 51 feet, beam of 14.6 feet, and displacement around 38,000 pounds, she embodies the ocean-cruising tradition of her era. The fiberglass hull, clipper bow, and sweeping sheerline give her distinctive lines, while the traditional ketch rig provides balanced, versatile sailing across varying conditions. A Ford Lehman diesel engine of 120 horsepower provides auxiliary power.

The interior features rich teak joinery throughout, with a spacious center cockpit layout and generous headroom.
