The Westwind 35 is a fiberglass offshore cruising yacht designed by Robert Perry and built in 1978. She's one of approximately 250 hulls produced and carries a solid reputation for seaworthiness and bluewater capability. The boat measures 36 feet in length with a 11-foot beam. Power comes from a single 40 hp Volvo Penta diesel engine, delivering a cruising speed of 5 knots and a maximum speed of 6 knots.
This example has seen considerable cruising over her lifetime, having been sailed across both the Atlantic and through the Mediterranean, as well as extensive time in Caribbean waters and throughout Southeast Asia. She carries the practical construction and layout typical of the design, suited to long-distance passage-making and extended cruising. Currently moored in Langkawi, the boat has been lightly used in recent years.
