1983 O'Day 39

This 1983 O'Day 39 is a fiberglass sailing yacht designed by Phillips Briand, known for strong offshore capabilities and a balanced layout suited to both day sailing and cruising. The hull carries a generous cockpit for day use and substantial interior volume, making it practical for weekend trips or longer passages.

Below deck, the boat offers three cabins and two heads. The salon features a convertible table that doubles as a fourth berth when needed, and a privacy door at the bow allows the forward cabin to serve as a dedicated primary berth. This arrangement accommodates multiple couples or larger family groups comfortably.

The O'Day 39 was built under license from Jeanneau, marketed as the SUN FIZZ in France. Both builders were held by Bangor Punta during this period, and the design was later refined by Hunt Associates into the O'Day 40.
