The 1985 Island Packet IP-27 is a 27-foot fiberglass sailing yacht with a 10-foot beam, powered by a single 16-horsepower Yammer diesel engine. The boat achieves a cruising speed of 7 knots. Recent work includes a bottom sanding and fresh paint in the red Trinidad HD finish completed in October 2025, new sails made by Leading Edge in 2018, and a full engine service with new sea water impeller, fuel filter, and belts. The rigging has been serviced with reef lines and lifelines replaced in November 2025, and Hansen rigging was used for boom work.
The boat carries two anchors with new rode, two AGM lifeline batteries installed in November 2025, and a 2017 Raymarine Axiom 9-inch multifunction display. Navigation and communication systems include a VHF marine radio, autopilot, and transmitting AIS, all integrated with the Axiom. A 2017 fuel tank flush and 2017 replacement of all engine cooling, fresh water, and sewage hoses are documented. The water and sewage tanks were both replaced in 2017.
The boat is serviceable throughout. The cabin sole requires attention. The engine, originally a 2004 Yammer installation, has been consistently maintained with no reported operational issues.
