This 1997 Willard Marine 40 Pilothouse Trawler is a fiberglass displacement cruiser built to commercial standards. The single 130 hp Lugger diesel engine with Twin Disk transmission delivers efficient, economical running power; the engine has logged 4,635 hours. The boat is 40 feet long with a 13-foot-8-inch beam, providing a stable platform for extended offshore and coastal passage-making. Standard trawler hull construction—hand-laid fiberglass, thick and robust—gives the boat the durability Willard vessels are known for.

The interior sleeps six across two cabins and includes two full heads with showers. The galley is U-shaped with good storage, a three-burner propane stove and oven, and dual-zone refrigeration via Sea Frost systems. Hot and cold pressure water, a substantial 300-gallon freshwater tank, and a 600-gallon fuel capacity support extended cruising. Twin 20-pound propane tanks, a 5 kW diesel generator, and a Webasto heater round out the mechanical systems. Air conditioning with heat reversal cools the salon and cabins.

The flybridge and lower helm stations are comprehensively outfitted with Raymarine electronics including dual chartplotters, autopilots, AIS transceiver, Sirius weather receiver, and fishfinder. VHF radios at both stations ensure communication redundancy. The electrical system features 904 amp-hours of house battery, solar panels, and a 100-amp charger with inverter. Navigation equipment also includes dual compasses and a radar with radome.

Anchoring gear is substantial: three anchors (Rocna, Delta, and Fortress) with multiple rodes, electric windlass, and split chain locker. The boat comes with a Plastimo six-person liferaft, an Apex RIB dinghy with 15 hp Yamaha engine and davits, and a trailer for water launching. Recent bottom paint was applied in 2024; new mattresses have been installed in both cabins.
