The Cabo Rico 42 is a 46.5-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built in 2000, representing a design widely recognized for its offshore capability and timeless aesthetics. Powered by a Yanmar JH57 diesel engine producing 57 horsepower, the yacht was repowered in 2021 and has accumulated fewer than 800 engine hours.
The boat has undergone extensive updates to its rigging and hardware. Standing rigging was replaced in 2024, along with a new bobstay, main halyard, and reefing lines in 2025. New Evolution Sails in both genoa and staysail were installed in 2024. Ground tackle includes a new Vulcan 45-pound anchor with a 100-foot 8-plait rode, paired with new Mantis anchor swivels and guards added in 2025.
Navigation and connectivity systems are current, with a new Garmin MFD chartplotter and AIS 800 transceiver installed in 2025, and a Starlink Mini mounted on the arch the same year. Interior updates include a new Raritan PHII pump assembly, AC/heat thermostat control panel, and new Lexan galley cabinet door sliders, all from 2025. The dodger and bimini feature new Strataglass in 2025, with added side grab bars for safety. A dripless shaft seal was installed in 2024, the bronze rudder shoe replaced the same year, and exterior teak was varnished in May 2026. A new higher aspect boom was fitted in 2026.
