2003 Catalina 470

This 2003 Catalina 470 is a 47-foot fiberglass sloop built to comfortable, proven proportions. The white hull features a blue boot stripe and black bottom, with a molded stern swim platform and stainless steel boarding ladder for easy access. The boat carries a Yanmar 4JH3-TE 75 hp diesel with 951 hours, delivering 7–8 knots at cruising and 9 knots at maximum speed. Power generation includes a 2017 Fisher-Panda 8kw generator and four 500-watt solar panels mounted over a 2024 dodger enclosure, along with substantial tankage: 84 gallons of fuel, 200 gallons of freshwater, and dual 35-gallon holding tanks.

The double-spreader masthead rig carries an in-mast furling North mainsail from 2022, a 135% genoa with roller furling, and an asymmetrical spinnaker. Electric Harken winches handle halyards and sheets, with all lines led aft to the cockpit. A Sidepower bow thruster and 12V Maxwell windlass with remote control assist maneuvering. The 63-foot mast sits on deck with aluminum boom and standing rigging fitted with new turnbuckles.

Interior accommodations sleep six to seven in varnished cherry with teak and holly sole. Forward is a full head with separate shower, followed by a large double berth. The main salon features a convertible dinette to port and settee berths to starboard. A spacious galley to port includes dual stainless steel sinks, Adler Barbour refrigerator-freezer, Princess LPG stove with oven, and Samsung microwave. A nav station to starboard holds 2023 Raymarine electronics—radar, GPS, wind, depth, speed displays, and VHF with Vesper AIS. The owner's stateroom aft contains a queen berth and a separate head with shower.

Recent upgrades include a 2024 hot water heater, new house batteries and charger, full cockpit enclosure with dodger, double stainless steel lifelines with dual gates, and comprehensive new electronics. An 11-foot West Marine inflatable with 2017 Mercury 9.9 hp outboard comes with dinghy davits.
