2015 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 469

The 2015 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 469 is a 46-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat designed by Philippe Briand for extended offshore passage-making. She draws 5 feet 4 inches with her shallow-draft fin and bulb keel, making her well-suited to Caribbean and Bahamas cruising. Power comes from a 54-horsepower Yanmar 4-cylinder diesel engine paired with an SD60 saildrive—professionally installed new in 2024. The boat carries twin fuel tanks totaling 126 gallons, a 101-gallon fresh water capacity, and twin holding tanks of 20 gallons each.

The accommodations comprise three cabins and two heads. The saloon features a large L-shaped galley to starboard with a three-burner cooker, oven with grill, microwave, double stainless steel sinks, and dual refrigeration: a 175-liter fridge and 80-liter freezer unit. Factory-installed washer and dryer units are mounted in a hanging locker. Both heads have solid surface countertops, moulded sinks, separate plexiglas-enclosed showers, and deck hatches for light and ventilation.

Navigation and control systems are comprehensive: a Raymarine Axiom 9-inch chartplotter with current US and Bahamas charts, digital broadband radar, P90 autopilot with hydraulic actuator, and VHF with AIS. Sail handling includes electric Harken winches, in-mast furling, a code 0 for light wind, and a powered bow thruster. Additional equipment features 620 watts of solar panels with MPPT controller, a Highfield 280 inflatable dinghy with electric Epropulsion outboard, and a Revere Regatta life raft for four. A brand-new Sea Water Pro watermaker and Webasto air conditioning unit for the master cabin are included but not yet installed; through-hulls and seacocks for the cooling circuit have been professionally prepared.

The boat sustained damage during Hurricane Irma in 2017, losing her mast and ending up in shallow water with no water ingress. The mast and standing rigging were completely replaced in 2018, and the hull was fully repaired. The topsides feature synthetic teak for low maintenance.
