The 2005 Cabo Rico 42 Cutter is a fiberglass cruising sailyacht measuring 46.5 feet overall with a 12.67-foot beam. Designed by Chuck Paine, this model combines a full cutaway keel with a cutter sailplan and bowsprit, delivering stable and responsive handling across all points of sail. Power comes from a Yanmar 4JH3E diesel inboard producing 56 horsepower, with a stainless steel three-blade propeller for efficient cruising at around six knots. The boat cruises at a maximum speed of seven knots.
Below deck, the layout provides two cabins and one head for comfortable extended cruising. The boat is outfitted with a Schaefer roller furling boom, new Schaefer genoa and staysail furlers, and Lewmar electric winches suited to single-handed or two-person operation. Electronics have been updated to current standards for bluewater navigation and safety.
The yacht has been gently sailed and well maintained throughout her ownership. She remains fully equipped and ready for offshore voyaging, reflecting the careful stewardship of her second owners.
