2006 Dufour 455 Grand Large

The 2006 Dufour 455 Grand Large is a 45-foot cruising sailboat built by Dufour Yachts in La Rochelle. Designed by Umberto Felci, the 455 Grand Large combines Italian performance styling with practical cruising characteristics. The fiberglass hull features a fin keel with bulb, spade rudder, and walk-through transom. A single 75 hp Volvo Penta diesel engine with saildrive powers the boat, which carries 530 liters of fuel and 250 liters of fresh water.

The yacht is rigged as a fractional sloop with aluminum spars and includes in-mast furling mainsail, furling genoa, and cruising chute. Four Harken self-tailing winches handle sail control. An electric windlass deploys twin anchors—a Delta with chain and warp plus a secondary Danforth. Navigation equipment includes Raymarine electronics with GPS, plotter, VHF, Navtex, and autopilot. The boat carries a liferaft, sprayhood, bimini, and full cockpit cover.

Accommodation consists of three double cabins and two heads, each with shower and basin. The forward owner's suite is the largest cabin. Headroom throughout measures 6 feet. The teak-trimmed interior features a bright saloon with white upholstery, a fully equipped galley with three-burner cooker, oven, grill, and double stainless-steel sink. Hot and cold pressurized water systems are fitted. The teak-trimmed cockpit includes a table with ice box and seating for extended time outdoors.

The engine has logged 1,914 hours and receives annual professional service. Main and genoa sails were replaced around 2017. Three ship's batteries were installed in 2021. A Zodiac dinghy with 4 hp Suzuki outboard is included. The boat operates on 12V with shore power capability.
